On TUESDAY, January 23RD at 5pm pst, Heretics Club is hosting a virtual SCREENING OF BRAID WITH DIRECTOR AND WRITER MITZI PEIRONE!
Do you love women-on-the-verge tropes? Was Saltburn not weird enough for you? Then you’ll love our next January event! Join Heretics Club as we host a virtual screening of Braid, with director and writer Mitzi Peirone. Braid, a psychological thriller, follows two wanted women who decide to rob their wealthy psychotic friend who lives in the fantasy world they created as children; to take the money they have to take part in a deadly perverse game of make believe. As things become increasingly hallucinatory and violent, the duo soon realize that obtaining the cash may be the least of their concerns. Think: Girls meets Thelma & Louise meets Dogtooth.
During the screening, Mitzi will provide her director’s and writer’s commentary, taking members through the process of writing a psychological thriller and bringing her screenplay to life. Join us January 23rd, and don’t forget to bring the popcorn!
